lauren dangelo

LPC, MA

Lauren is deeply committed to supporting individuals navigating eating disorders, trauma, and major identity transitions. She brings particular care to her work with athletes, former athletes, and artists who are striving to understand themselves beyond performance, productivity, or external expectations. Lauren is attentive to the ways certain communities are discouraged from speaking openly about their experiences, and she strives to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, seen, and empowered to explore the parts of themselves that have long gone unheard.

A graduate of Northwestern University, Lauren draws from psychodynamic, feminist, and systems perspectives, integrating these approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. Her work is grounded in collaboration, curiosity, and deep respect for the complexity of each person’s story. Lauren is especially interested in how early relationships, cultural messages, and bodily experiences shape one’s sense of identity. She supports clients in developing insight, reclaiming agency, and building more compassionate internal narratives.

In her clinical practice, Lauren centers authenticity, connection, and the belief that healing is possible when individuals are given the space to show up fully as themselves. She approaches therapy with warmth, nuance, and an appreciation for the courage it takes to explore one’s inner world.
